We had an incredible inaugural Spring (2017) season with 95 players registered. Boy and girl players, grades 3 through 8, from a variety of different school districts, joined the program to develop the critical skills necessary to play and enjoy the game of lacrosse. We learned fundamentals of the sport through fun activities and small area games. Once comfortable with passing, catching and moving the ball, we competed with groups within our organization. And when confidence grew, we played exhibition games against teams in nearby communities.

This past season we joined leagues and added a 10U girls team so that we can now offer lacrosse opportunities for boys and girls, grades 3 - 8.  The girls played in tournaments hosted by Hartland and Brighton. Meanwhile, the boys hosted a tournament of their own with 8 different lacrosse organizations converging in Woodhaven to play 22 games in total.  It was a terrific season and great experience for everyone!

Lacrosse is a really terrific game and we can’t wait to help grow the sport in this area. It is fast paced and complements so many sports that youth in this area are involved in, such as hockey, basketball, football, and soccer. While field lacrosse is typically played in the Spring, we are meeting twice a week this Fall through October 29th to help grow and develop existing players and to provide an opportunity for new players to learn about the sport.
